Quantum Blockchain Technologies is speeding up 'Method C'

Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC (AIM:QBT, FRA:BYA1) said it has found a shortcut to speed up live testing of its Method C AI Oracle software on an ASIC manufacturer’s mining rig, with preliminary results now expected by the end of April.

The AIM-listed group said the workaround connects the AI Oracle directly to the manufacturer’s Mining Development Kit, sidestepping the longer process of fully integrating the software onto the rig’s control board.

Instead, QBT has modified the rig’s CGminer-like operating system so mining jobs from the pool are intercepted and passed to the AI Oracle, allowing only the best hashes to be executed.

That modified system has already been tested on an Intel x86 family server in the company’s Milan University laboratory and by its Oregon development team.

QBT said data collection from the mining rig has now started in Milan, with neural network training due to begin once a sufficient volume of data has been generated, followed by creation of an AI model specific to the third-party ASIC hashboard.

Chief executive and executive chairman Francesco Gardin said the shortcut could also help speed internal testing on Antminer S9 and Bitaxe Gamma rigs, which are earmarked for future customer demonstrations.

The company said deployment of the AI Oracle directly onto the mining rig remains a parallel objective, while preliminary results are now expected by the end of April 2026.
