American Tungsten & Antimony Ltd (ASX:AT4, OTCQB:ATALF, FRA:4VZ) has appointed geoscientist David Groombridge as exploration manager for its US operations and engaged SRK Consulting to provide independent Competent Person services as it advances its American critical minerals portfolio.
The appointments are expected to strengthen its technical leadership, governance and compliance capability as it progresses exploration and development activities across its antimony and tungsten assets in Utah and Nevada.
Groombridge brings more than 20 years of experience in mineral exploration, resource development and project evaluation. His previous roles include exploration manager at Medallion Metals Ltd (ASX:MM8), chief executive officer of Riedel Resources Ltd (ASX:RIE) and senior geologist at Silver Lake Resources Limited. (ASX:SLR), now a subsidiary of Red 5. The company said he also has direct experience in tungsten and polymetallic systems, including structurally controlled and intrusion-related mineralisation styles relevant to AT4’s portfolio.
In the new role, Groombridge will oversee planning and execution of exploration programs across the company’s US assets, including the Antimony Canyon project in Utah and its tungsten projects in Utah and Nevada.
Next steps across US portfolio
AT4 has also appointed SRK Consulting (Australasia) Pty Ltd to provide independent Competent Person services in line with the JORC Code (2012) and ASX listing rules. Senior consultant Cael Gniel will act as Competent Person in the first instance, with principal consultant Danny Kentwell providing peer review and backup responsibility.
Managing director Andre Booyzen said the appointments would support the company’s efforts to advance its US critical minerals strategy.
“These appointments strengthen our technical and corporate capability as we advance our U.S. critical minerals portfolio. David brings strong exploration leadership and experience across both antimony and tungsten systems, which will be important as we progress exploration and drilling across our portfolio. In particular, his experience in targeting and advancing mineralised systems will support the systematic development of our tungsten assets as part of our broader US supply chain strategy.
"The engagement of SRK Consulting, ensures the company is well-positioned to deliver fully JORC-compliant technical reporting as we progress our US portfolio.”
Near-term work will include advancing exploration programs across Antimony Canyon, Tennessee Mountain and Fraction Lode, while also progressing the company’s antimony and tungsten hub-and-spoke strategy, target generation across Nightingale, Sage Hen and Dutch Mountain, and broader US operational capability.
