Foxconn reports record first quarter sales driven by AI server demand

Foxconn reported a strong increase in first quarter revenue for 2026, driven by sustained demand for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and solid performance in its consumer electronics segment.

The Taiwanese electronics manufacturer, which supplies major tech companies like Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL, XETRA:APC) and Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA, XETRA:NVD), said revenue for the January to March period rose 29.7% year-on-year to T$2.13 trillion (approximately US$66.6 billion). This was slightly below market expectations of T$2.148 trillion.

Growth was led by Foxconn’s cloud and networking division, which benefited from rising demand for AI servers. The company is a key manufacturing partner for major AI chip suppliers, producing server systems used in high-performance computing applications. Continued expansion in AI infrastructure, including next-generation server platforms, contributed significantly to the quarter’s performance.

Foxconn’s smart consumer electronics segment, which includes iPhone assembly, also recorded notable growth. The company attributed this to new product launches and stable global demand for consumer devices.

Revenue in March alone reached T$803.7 billion, marking a record high for the month and representing a 45.6% increase compared with the same period last year.

Looking ahead, Foxconn said it expects operations to grow both quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year in the second quarter, supported by ongoing momentum in AI-related products. However, the company cautioned that broader uncertainties could affect its outlook.

Foxconn does not provide detailed guidance, but is scheduled to release its full Q1 earnings report on May 14.
