Miivo Holdings CEO on scaling AI business solutions – ICYMI

Miivo Holdings Corp (TSX-V:MIVO) CEO Alex Damouni talked with Proactive about the company’s AI-powered platform designed to help small and medium-sized businesses identify early warning signs and improve performance.

Proactive: For those not familiar, tell us about Miivo Holdings.

Alex Damouni: We find that 50% of small and medium-sized companies fail within the first five years, and our goal is to change that. We believe businesses don’t fail overnight—it’s a gradual progression. Miivo is an AI-powered platform that detects early warning signs by pulling data from multiple sources, whether financial, operational or customer-related, and consolidating it into a single view for business owners.

The AI then provides business-specific recommendations in the form of opportunities, analyzing and ranking priorities based on importance and impact—all in real time. That’s the foundation of our technology. On top of that, we offer a suite of products and services to help business owners address those fundamental challenges. In doing so, we become invested in their outcomes.

Are companies mainly struggling with financial or operational issues?

What we’re finding is that there are two types of customers coming onto our platform. One group is really struggling with the financial and operational side of their business, and we have solutions tailored to them. The other group is where the AI-powered recommendations really come into play.

We’re also seeing customers who have grown to a certain scale where manual reporting and processes are becoming inefficient or difficult to manage. We meet them where they are and help automate much of what they do, enabling them to scale more cost-effectively.

Our motto as a company is simple: we meet you where you are and provide the solutions you need. While many business owners share common challenges, some are highly specific and unique to their business.

Tell me about the Miivo Starter plan.

Our self-starter plan is designed for those who want a self-service experience, allowing them to navigate the platform and engage with it at their convenience. On the managed services side, for customers who want to work with us more closely as a solutions provider, we can help build customized solutions.

Ultimately, we offer a range of products and services based on how each user prefers to interact with us.

What are your plans for 2026?

There are a couple of key things we’re focusing on. Our philosophy at the company is simple: we either build or buy our solutions. Right now, we’re in the building phase, developing several new self-service products that we plan to launch in the near future.

These self-service products are primarily geared toward supporting growth for small and medium-sized companies. At the same time, we’re in the final stages of closing an acquisition that will significantly contribute to Miivo’s revenue growth.

Essentially, we pursue two paths: we either develop products in-house or pursue strategic acquisitions that enhance our distribution channels or technological capabilities.

What will the acquisition of Tandem Holdings add to Miivo?

That gives us a larger geographical footprint and expands the managed services we can offer, including fractional services that some businesses are specifically asking for. On the distribution side, this is the first step of the acquisition, and it’s expected to positively impact our top line by increasing customer repeatability.

Is this a global story?

Absolutely. What we’re seeing is that users are joining our platform from all over the world. We initially incubated and launched in India and the Middle East, and we’re now expanding through North America, with clients in the US and Canada. Slowly but surely, we’re building out our global presence.

We’re also seeing users from Europe, which is very encouraging. Customers are coming from a broad range of industries—food and beverage, retail, professional services, manufacturing—and we’re finding that our platform can provide solutions across all of these sectors.
