RC Fornax PLC (AIM:RCFX) reported continued commercial momentum, with strong order intake across the second quarter and into March.
The defence sector engineering specialist secured approximately £1.9 million of orders in the three months to 28 February 2026, despite a seasonal slowdown over Christmas.
Momentum continued into March, with a further £1.4 million of orders, including three new purchase orders, two public sector opportunities and six contract extensions.
This follows what the group described as its strongest quarter to date in the three months to November 2025.
As a result, RC Fornax said it now has visibility over more than £5.1 million in sales under purchase order and subject to contract for the 2026 financial year.
Chief executive Paul Reeves said: "The progress we are seeing represents a clear step change in the scale and consistency of our commercial performance.
"We are now delivering materially higher levels of orders on a recurring basis, with this improved run rate providing a stronger foundation for revenue visibility.
"Importantly, this momentum is not only supporting our expectations for the current year but is also establishing a more meaningful platform as we look ahead."
He said demand is being supported by the UK government's defence spending ambitions, with a prioritisation of war-fighting readiness "reinforcing the requirement for cost-effective, outcomes-focused support across engineering, procurement and capability development, areas that play directly to RCF's strengths".
With customers placing greater emphasis on driving value from existing budgets, Reeves said this dynamic is supporting ongoing demand for RCF's delivery model, which is designed to enhance programme performance without increasing overall cost.
"The continued build in our sales pipeline and improving commercial momentum gives us increasing confidence in the direction of travel of the business."
