Risers & Fallers: Sirius Minerals, Collagen, Sky, Bellway, Anglo Asian, Circle Oil and more

Sirius Minerals was boosted by the news it will not face a public inquiry while Bellway led the fallers on the FTSE 100 on fears of a Bank of England interest rate hike.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 4pm.

Risers

Sirius Minerals (LON:SXX) up 11.2%. The company today revealed the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government has chosen not to exercise a right to ‘call-in’ the applications for its the York Potash mine development project.

Collagen Solutions (LON:COS) up 7.69%. Shares were higher as the company, as part a consortium, has been awarded a grant by Arthritis Research UK.

FTSE 350: Sky (LON:SKY) up 3.3%. Analysts at Deutsche Bank upgraded their rating on the stock from 'hold' to 'buy' and ramped up its target price by half to 1,500p from 1,000p.

Fallers

Anglo Asian Minerals (LON:AAZ) down 11%. After landing on the risers list yesterday following record half year production, the share price slipped back a tad today.

Circle Oil (LON:COP) down 8.5%. The miner has suspended drilling operations at the ANS-2 exploration well, in the Lalla Mimouna permit, onshore Morocco to move to the NFA-1 well site.

FTSE 350: Bellway (LON:BWY) down 3.2%. House-builders struggled after Mark Carney told the Treasury select committee that the bank rate may be increased sooner than markets expect.

Risers

Coms (LON:COMS) up 14.2%. Current Interquest chief executive Mark Braund, will become the group’s new chief executive and interim finance director Spencer Dredge has been announced as the new chief financial officer.

Paragon Diamonds (LON:PRG) up 11.3%. The company signed a legally binding share purchase agreement for the Mothae kimberlite resource in Lesotho.

FTSE 350: International Personal Finance (LON:IPF) up 4.4%. Shares rebounded slightly after losing 25% yesterday on news that there could be financial consequences as a result of potential legal changes in Poland.

Fallers

Invista European Real Estate (LON:IERE) down 66%. Shares continue to sink after it said it will offload assets to keep its lenders onside.

Johnston Press (LON:JPR) down 19%. The newspaper owner blamed the general election for weaker advertising income in its latest half year report.

FTSE 350: Drax Group (LON:DRX) down 3.6%. The recently announced end to the exemption for renewable electricity from the climate change levy has hit the UK’s largest single-plant renewables project.

RISERS

Asian Citrus Holdings (LON:ACHL) up 16%. Its biggest shareholder Market Ahead Investments sold a 14.34% stake in the company to Changjiang Tyling Management for £16.6mln.

Iofina (LON:IOF) up 11.5%. Iofina reported strong first half results and a record quarter for crystalline iodine production in the second quarter.

Nyota Minerals (LON:NYO) up 11%. The company said it has identified new exploration targets at its 70% owned Ivrea nickel exploration project in Italy.

FALLERS

Fletcher King (LON:FLK) down 18.2%. Pre-tax profits fell to £461,000 in the year to the end of April - down from £711,000 in 2014 while sales also dropped.

Regenersis (LON:RGS) down 18%. Profits are expected to be in line with expectations but after the year’s end, depot performance is expected to be hit by the loss of a large client.

Armadale Capital (LON:ACP) down 16%. The AIM quoted investment company announced a conditional placing of 10 million new ordinary shares at 4p per share to raise gross proceeds of £400,000.
