Titomic Ltd (ASX:TTT, OTC:TITMF, FRA:T04) has secured a EUR1.02 million (about A$1.71 million) purchase order from Royal NLR, the Netherlands’ national aerospace research centre, for cold spray systems spanning low, medium and high-pressure capability.
The order places the company’s technology with a major European aerospace research body and broadens Titomic's foothold in the Netherlands, where it is already building its presence. It also provides third-party validation of Titomic’s cold spray offering across a range of aerospace and defence uses, including repair, coating, sustainment and additive manufacturing.
Royal NLR will use the equipment to support research and application development for aerospace and defence programs in the Netherlands. The systems are intended to help advance work in repair, coating and additive manufacturing, giving the organisation broader cold spray capability across multiple pressure settings.
Validation in a key European market
For Titomic, the purchase order adds commercial weight to its push into the defence and aerospace sectors, particularly in allied markets. The company said the deal reinforces the relevance of its Titomic Kinetic Fusion technology for practical, high-value industrial uses rather than just research-stage concepts.
Royal NLR is an independent aerospace research organisation founded in 1919 and works across science, industry and government in both civil and military aerospace. Its decision to acquire Titomic equipment suggests growing institutional interest in cold spray technology as a tool for maintenance, corrosion protection and component manufacturing.
NLR vice-president aerospace vehicles Bert Thuis said the organisation saw strong potential for Titomic’s technology in aerospace and defence applications, particularly across repair, coating and additive manufacturing.
Titomic CEO and managing director Jim Simpson said the order was an important validation of the company’s technology for aerospace and defence applications and further strengthened its strategic position in the Netherlands and the broader European market.
