BioHarvest Sciences Inc (NASDAQ:BHST, FRA:8MV0) said its VINIA product has become the top-selling resveratrol polyphenol nutraceutical brand in the United States, citing company data, as it continues to expand its direct-to-consumer business.
The biotechnology company attributed VINIA’s market position to its clinically studied ability to support arterial dilation and blood flow, a mechanism it says can enhance oxygen and nutrient delivery throughout the body.
“Achieving the No.1 position in the US resveratrol category in less than five years reflects both the strength of VINIA and the power of our Botanical Synthesis platform technology,” BioHarvest CEO Ilan Sobel said in a statement.
"VINIA's clinically demonstrated ability to increase arterial dilation, providing blood flow benefits, combined with its unique protected plant-cell delivery system, create a differentiated product that consumers are increasingly recognizing and adopting.”
BioHarvest said VINIA’s growth has been supported by its subscription-based, e-commerce model, with approximately 80% of US revenue generated through its VINIA.com platform. The company reported more than $30 million in US revenue for full-year 2025 and about $85 million in cumulative global revenue to date.
The company also said VINIA has built a user base of more than 85,000 active customers across the United States and Israel within five years of launch.
Commenting on the product, Dr Edward Maristany, a member of BioHarvest’s scientific advisory board, said VINIA has shown “impressive solubility, bioavailability and efficacy qualities,” adding that patients using the product have experienced improvements in energy levels and mental alertness linked to better blood flow.
“I have over 200 patients who have consistently taken VINIA for more than a year. The improvements in their quality of life derived from VINIA's clinically proven ability to increase arterial dilation have been significant,” Dr Maristany said. “The effects of improved blood flow have been substantial in driving improvements in my patients' physical energy and mental alertness."
VINIA is based on a proprietary red grape composition centered on piceid resveratrol, combined with other grape-derived polyphenols such as catechin, quercetin, anthocyanins and tannins. BioHarvest said these compounds are produced using its Botanical Synthesis platform, which preserves plant molecules within their natural cellular structure to protect them from degradation.
Unlike conventional extracts that isolate compounds, the company said its technology maintains the full polyphenol profile in a plant-cell environment, which it believes enhances stability and efficacy. It added that the process can increase piceid resveratrol concentrations by up to 100 times compared with levels naturally found in red grapes.
BioHarvest said it plans to build on VINIA’s vasodilation properties by combining it with other compounds to develop additional nutraceutical products.
