GSTechnologies Ltd (LSE:GST), the fintech company, fell 21% to 0.27p after announcing it will temporarily suspend its crypto asset trading services from 15 April 2026 while it seeks regulatory authorisation under new European Union rules.
The suspension affects Finferno, the Polish entity through which the company's crypto trading platform currently operates, and will remain in place until Finferno obtains a licence under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, which introduces a harmonised framework for crypto asset service providers across the bloc.
The company said the decision to suspend ahead of the 30 June 2026 deadline, by which it could have continued operating under its existing registration, reflects a desire to align with MiCA requirements as soon as possible.
Users of the platform are being notified, and the company said further announcements would be made in due course.
