Cognyte Software shares pop on strong quarterly results, upbeat guidance

Cognyte Software (NASDAQ:CGNT) shares jumped almost 13% after the firm reported strong fourth quarter results and issued upbeat guidance.

The company posted revenue of $106.2 million for the three months ended January 31, up 12.4% from a year earlier and above analyst expectations of $103.74 million.

GAAP net income reached $5.1 million, compared with a net loss of $0.2 million a year earlier, while adjusted earnings per share of $0.10 beat the $0.03 forecast.

Adjusted EBITDA rose 62.5% year-over-year to $15 million, reflecting robust operational leverage.

“We delivered a year of strong growth, higher margins, and improved profitability, proving the strength of our strategy,” Cognyte CEO Elad Sharon said.

“Our leadership in AI-driven analytics is enabling customers to make faster, more effective decisions when it matters most. As threats become more complex, Cognyte stands at the forefront of operational intelligence, and we are confident in our trajectory toward our fiscal 2028 targets.”

Looking ahead, Cognyte expects fiscal 2027 revenue of approximately $448 million, above analyst expectations of $442 million, representing roughly 12% growth at the midpoint.

Adjusted EBITDA is projected at about $68 million, surpassing the $64 million consensus estimate, and non-GAAP diluted EPS is expected to reach $0.47, above the $0.37 forecast.
