374Water Inc (NASDAQ:SCWO, FRA:8LL) announced that it is preparing to deploy its mobile AirSCWO system to St. Cloud, Minnesota, marking an expansion of its Waste Destruction Services platform with a focus on on-site waste treatment.
The cleantech company said final preparations are underway, with the system expected to be delivered in April 2026.
Pilot operations are scheduled to run through mid-September at the city’s Nutrient, Energy, and Water Recovery Facility.
The mobile system is designed to process both liquid and slurry waste streams and can be transported directly to customer sites, including remediation projects and government facilities. The company said the unit will be used in St. Cloud to destroy PFAS-contaminated biosolids, water treatment residuals, and spent granular activated carbon.
The deployment follows a Waste Destruction Services contract awarded in December 2025 in partnership with Barr Engineering. The project is intended to evaluate PFAS destruction efficiency across multiple waste types, including undigested and post-thermal hydrolysis biosolids.
374Water said the mobile system is built on its supercritical water oxidation technology, which it reports has demonstrated PFAS destruction rates exceeding 99.95% in prior deployments.
The mobile unit complements its fixed-site Waste Destruction Services facilities by enabling deployment in locations where permanent infrastructure is not practical or where pilot-scale evaluation is required, according to the company.
"The completion of our mobile AirSCWO system marks an important evolution in how we bring our technology to market," 374Water’s chief operating officer Brad Meyers said in a statement.
"Rather than requiring customers to come to us, this system goes to them -with the full destructive power of AirSCWO."
