Quadrise PLC (AIM:QED) has added Michael Covington to its board as a non-executive director and audit committee member, bringing in a seasoned energy and finance executive as the low-emission fuels group moves deeper into its next commercialisation phase.
The AIM-listed company said Covington is expected in time to succeed Laurie Mutch as chair of the audit committee, with Mutch having informed the company of his intention to step down as a director.
Quadrise chairman Andy Morrison said the new appointee’s background in strategic capital, complex deal structuring and commercial scale-up was closely aligned with the group’s growth plans.
Covington brings more than 30 years of experience across energy, fuels, infrastructure, renewables and industrial technology.
His career has included audit work at PwC, corporate finance roles at Close Brothers and ABN Amro, senior investment banking posts at Dresdner Kleinwort, and a managing director role covering cleantech and renewables at Piper Sandler.
He has also held senior positions across private equity and renewables at SI Capital, Denver Partners, Alpha Real Capital, Bluefield Partners and Blackfinch Group.
Since 2021, Covington has served as a board director and now chair of Getech Group PLC, while also sitting on the board of Changeworks.
