Critical Resources Ltd managing director Tim Wither talked with Proactive about a key technical milestone in the company’s solid-state battery strategy, highlighting new laboratory validation results for its amorphous solid-state electrolyte (ASE).
Wither explained that the ASE program has demonstrated sustained stability and performance, maintaining operation for more than 1200 hours at room temperature. He said this represents a significant step forward for solid-state battery development, particularly given the challenges associated with electrolyte performance under real-world conditions.
Wither also outlined how the ASE program complements Critical Resources Ltd’s Dry Supersonic Deposition (DSD) workstream, which focuses on solvent-free cathode manufacturing. Together, these initiatives aim to address both the chemistry and manufacturability challenges of next-generation batteries.
