The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries index (ASX: XSO) edged higher on the latest session, closing at 3,389.40, up 15.90 points or 0.47% for the day, although the index remains down 3.93% over the past five days, reflecting ongoing volatility across the small-cap space.
Against this mixed backdrop, several ASX-listed companies have reported resource upgrades, exploration progress and technology advancements, highlighting continued activity at the project level despite broader market weakness. You can read about the following and more throughout the day.
Titan Minerals
Titan Minerals Ltd (ASX:TTM, OTC:TTTNF) has delivered an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for its 100%-owned Dynasty Gold Project, following a year of resource expansion drilling. The updated resource now totals 65.6Mt at 1.85 g/t gold and 12.38 g/t silver, equating to 3.90Moz of contained gold and 26.10Moz of silver across the Cerro Verde, Iguana, Papayal and Trapichillo deposits. The upgrade reflects ongoing drilling success and further consolidates Dynasty as a large-scale gold-silver system.
Sovereign Metals
Sovereign Metals Ltd (ASX:SVM, OTCQX:SVMLF, AIM:SVML, FRA:SVM) has also reported a material increase in resource confidence at its Kasiya Rutile-Graphite Project in Malawi. The updated Mineral Resource Estimate, which will underpin the project’s Definitive Feasibility Study mine schedule, shows a 38% increase in combined Measured and Indicated rutile resources to 1,652Mt, now accounting for 77% of the total resource. Notably, Kasiya has achieved a Measured Resource category for the first time, expected to support at least the first six years of planned operations and marking a key de-risking milestone ahead of development.
Resolution Minerals
Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML, OTCQB:RLMLF, FRA:NC3) is preparing to significantly scale up exploration at its Horse Heaven Project in Idaho, USA. The company has outlined a Phase 2 drilling program targeting the Golden Gate fault zone, comprising up to 45,000 feet (13,700 metres) of diamond drilling across as many as 45 holes. The program builds on a successful 2025 campaign in which all holes intersected gold mineralisation, with the system remaining open at depth and offering further upside potential.
Critical Resources
Critical Resources Ltd (ASX:CRR, FRA:9S70) has reported early-stage laboratory validation results from its Amorphous Solid-State Electrolyte program. Conducted in collaboration with the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology under a US National Science Foundation-supported framework, the work focused on lithium-metal interface stability—a key challenge in solid-state battery development. The results demonstrate stable electrolyte performance under controlled conditions, helping to reduce known failure risks ahead of progression to more advanced cell-level testing.
