Tetratherix Limited (ASX:TTX) is expanding beyond its core regenerative medicine portfolio, launching a new precision medicine franchise backed by a long-term US partnership that delivers immediate revenue.
The move builds on the company’s Tetramatrix™ platform, which already underpins its bone regeneration, tissue spacing and tissue healing programs, and now opens a pathway into drug delivery.
US partnership underpins early revenues
Central to the expansion is an exclusive research and development agreement with US-based consumer health group Superpower Health Inc, which will pay Tetratherix US$3 million per year for up to 10 years.
The deal also includes product sales, with Superpower set to purchase the company’s polymer technology — branded STEPP — for nasal delivery of compounds such as GLP-1s, peptides and hormones in the US market.
Management said the agreement is immediately revenue-generating and entirely additive, with proceeds expected to strengthen the company’s cash position without diverting resources from its core programs, which remain funded through to FY28.
Needle-free delivery platform gains traction
The STEPP system, developed over more than five years, is designed to enable needle-free delivery of complex biological compounds via the nasal cavity.
Using the same Tetramatrix™ polymer, the technology forms a sticky layer on the nasal lining, helping drugs remain in place for absorption while protecting fragile molecules from degradation.
Tetratherix CEO Will Knox said the new franchise “will unlock and accelerate additional opportunities” while expediting commercialisation revenues, describing the shift as a move towards “active, high-velocity delivery systems.”
Core programs remain on track
Importantly, Tetratherix said its existing development pipeline remains unchanged, with milestones across its regenerative medicine franchises progressing as planned.
The company continues to expect two FDA approvals in its bone regeneration franchise by mid-2026, which remains its primary near-term catalyst.
Looking ahead, the precision medicine business will initially focus on generating real-world evidence through the Superpower partnership, with scope to expand into broader pharmaceutical delivery applications over time.
