Dianomi shares rise 12% on AI partnership with Dappier

Dianomi PLC (AIM:DNM), a digital advertising company serving financial and lifestyle publishers, saw its shares rise 12% to 13.4p on Monday after announcing a partnership with Dappier, a US artificial intelligence media technology company, to build an AI-powered answers engine for financial news websites.

The product allows publishers to convert their editorial archives into conversational AI experiences embedded directly on their own sites, letting readers ask questions and receive answers drawn from the publisher's own journalism rather than from external platforms such as ChatGPT.

The partnership is designed to address a growing problem for financial news publishers, whose audiences are spending less time on their sites as AI-generated summaries and chatbots divert traffic elsewhere.

By keeping the AI experience within the publisher environment, the product aims to retain readers while also capturing advertising revenue from the conversations generated, creating what the two companies describe as a new form of agentic native advertising.

Dianomi's distribution network reaches 500 million devices per month across more than 250 premium publishers, which the company said gives the partnership the potential to build a distributed AI answers network across the financial publishing sector.

Rupert Hodson, chief executive of Dianomi, said the company's role was to bring premium financial advertisers and global distribution, while Dappier provided the underlying AI technology.

Hodson added that while the partnership was at an early stage, discussions with major publishers and advertisers about pilot projects were underway.
