Thruvision Group shares rise as it lands foothold in US aviation market

Thruvision Group PLC (LSE:THRU), the maker of 'walk-through' security technology, saw its shares rise in Friday morning's trade, after it secured a further foothold in the US aviation market after winning a US$0.6 million contract from the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority for worker screening systems at Orlando International Airport.

The AIM-listed security technology group will supply five 81-Series systems, including battery-powered bases for mobile deployment, with delivery due by 31 March 2026.

The contract also includes two years of enhanced support. Thruvision said the battery-powered base is a new feature available only on its 81-Series products. The award follows a contract for aviation worker screening systems at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport announced in December.

Thruvision said the latest deal brings the number of US airports using its systems to five, adding to evidence of wider adoption of its non-contact screening technology in airports.

Senior vice president for Thruvision Americas Kevin Gramer said airports were seeking screening systems that are “mobile, compliant, and affordable” while preserving security and throughput.

The share was up 7.9%, changing hands at 0.94p.
