Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA, XETRA:NVD) announced that it has agreed to invest $2 billion in Nebius Group (NASDAQ:NBIS) as part of a strategic partnership aimed at developing hyperscale cloud infrastructure tailored for the artificial intelligence market.
The companies said the partnership will focus on building next-generation cloud platforms designed to support a broad range of AI users, from startups and AI-focused companies to large enterprises. NVIDIA’s investment reflects its confidence in Nebius’s engineering capabilities across the AI technology stack.
As part of the agreement, the two firms plan to expand their collaboration across several areas, including AI infrastructure design, software development, and large-scale deployment of accelerated computing systems.
Nebius has already been deploying NVIDIA infrastructure across its global platform, including multiple gigawatt-scale AI facilities in the United States. The partnership is intended to support Nebius’s plans to scale its infrastructure to more than 5 gigawatts of capacity by the end of 2030.
Under the arrangement, NVIDIA will support Nebius’s early adoption of its latest accelerated computing technologies as the cloud provider builds out its AI-focused infrastructure. Planned deployments include future NVIDIA computing architectures such as the Rubin platform, Vera CPUs and BlueField storage systems.
The companies also said they will collaborate on AI factory design, including system architecture, design reviews, early hardware samples and system software integration. Additional efforts will focus on developing AI inference capabilities and agentic AI systems using NVIDIA’s software technologies, optimized models and libraries.
The partnership will also include fleet management initiatives designed to monitor and maintain the health of Nebius’s GPU infrastructure using NVIDIA’s diagnostic tools and software recommendations.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said the collaboration comes as demand for computing capacity accelerates alongside the development of agentic AI systems. “AI is at another inflection point — agentic AI, driving incredible compute demand and accelerating infrastructure buildout,” Huang said.
“Nebius is building an AI cloud designed for the agentic era, fully integrated from silicon to software and powered by NVIDIA’s next-generation accelerated compute. Together, we are scaling the cloud to meet the surging global demand for intelligence.”
Nebius shares jumped more than 14% on the announcement, while Nvidia was up 0.5% at about $185.
