Small caps look set to build on yesterday’s rebound after the Small Ordinaries rose 1.31% alongside a broader recovery across the ASX. With futures pointing modestly higher this morning and commodity markets still volatile, several junior resources names are delivering fresh exploration and resource updates as investors continue scanning the sector for growth stories.
Ora Banda Mining
Ora Banda Mining Ltd (ASX:OBM, OTC:ESGFF) has expanded the mineral resource at its Round Dam deposit nearly tenfold to 1.33 million ounces of gold, lifting the company’s total global resource base to 3.3Moz.
The updated estimate of 25.6Mt at 1.6g/t Au includes both indicated and inferred material suitable for open-pit mining, with the deposit remaining open along strike and at depth as drilling continues along an 18-kilometre mineralised trend near the Davyhurst mill.
St George Mining
St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ, FRA:S0G, OTC:SGQMF) has reported another batch of thick, high-grade rare earths and niobium intercepts from surface at its Araxá project in Brazil.
Highlights include 160.6m at 3.74% TREO and 0.54% Nb₂O₅ from surface, alongside several other wide intercepts exceeding 3–4% TREO, reinforcing the scale and continuity of the carbonatite-hosted system as drilling continues to build confidence in the resource.
Titan Minerals
Titan Minerals Ltd (ASX:TTM, OTC:TTTNF) has intersected further wide zones of gold-silver-copper porphyry mineralisation at the Kaliman target within its Dynasty project in Ecuador.
Recent drilling returned results including 159.9m at 0.7g/t gold equivalent, with multiple broad mineralised zones expected to be incorporated into a forthcoming mineral resource update that could expand the scale of the project ahead of planned mine studies.
