AIM-listed chipmaker wins life-science and healthcare deals while lifting long-term automotive programme value above $40 million
Shares in EnSilica PLC (AIM:ENSI), the AIM-listed fabless chip designer, jumped 8% to 51.87p after the company announced two new contract wins and a significant upgrade to its existing automotive programme.
The most consequential update concerns an existing contract with a premier global car manufacturer, where production volumes are now expected to run beyond 2030, lifting the programme's estimated lifetime value above the previously forecast $40 million.
EnSilica has also signed a $1.6 million contract with an unnamed UK-listed life-sciences company to design and manufacture a next-generation chip, with revenue contributions expected from the financial year ending May 2027.
A further $200,000 feasibility study for a US healthcare firm, developing a wireless biosensing chip, is expected to lead to a multi-million-dollar agreement if successful.
EnSilica maintained its full-year revenue guidance of £28 million to £30 million and EBITDA of £3.5 million to £4.5 million.
