Domino's profits sliced but chicken dippers bring hope

Domino's Pizza Group PLC (LSE:DOM) profits fell 15% last year, as expected, as lower supply chain volumes and investment in skills and capabilities weighed on margins.

Underlying profit before tax dropped to £91.2 million from £107.3 million the year before, as sales grew 1.5% to £1.6 billion, but like-for-like orders fell 2.3% as the challenging consumer backdrop persisted through the second half of the year.

Underlying EBITDA dropped 6.6% to £133.9 million, while statutory profit before tax fell 35% to £81.1 million, hit by a £10.4 million impairment of its Irish Shorecal business and £6 million of costs related to transactions that did not proceed.

The final dividend was raised 3% to 7.7p per share, taking the full-year total to 11.3p.

The new financial year brought a brighter note, with the FTSE 250 group saying the positive momentum seen over the Christmas trading period had continued into the first nine weeks of 2026.

Underlying EBITDA so far in the new year has tracked in line with market expectations, and said new store openings are expected to be around the same level as 2025.

Interim chief executive Nicola Frampton, appointed following Andrew Rennie’s departure last November, said: "In 2026, we are focused on strengthening our core business and driving disciplined execution across the organisation.

"In particular, we are excited about a number of strategic and operational initiatives to drive sustainable growth, including: the successful system-wide launch of CHICK 'N' DIP; a strong pipeline of wider product innovation; the development of our loyalty program and continued enhancements to our industry-leading supply chain."
