Astrid Intelligence PLC (AQSE:ASTR) has moved deeper into Bittensor’s infrastructure layer after acquiring and integrating an existing validator, a step that shifts the company further from passive token exposure toward active network operations.
The AQSE-listed group said the validator now operates under the Astrid Validator brand and is expected to increase its direct participation in the decentralised AI network, strengthen its governance role and generate protocol-defined emissions through operation of the infrastructure itself.
Astrid said it intends to consolidate its TAO and subnet token holdings under the validator to improve operational efficiency and support longer-term alignment with the network.
The board said owning and running core network infrastructure is central to building a sustainable and scalable business model in decentralised AI.
"The board believes that owning and operating core network infrastructure, rather than simply holding digital assets, is fundamental to building a sustainable and scalable business model in decentralised AI," the company said in Tuesday's statement.
"By operating a Validator, Astrid will be running specific code on the subnets that it validates and therefore will have deeper access and insights to the outputs of those subnets."
Further updates on validator activity and network participation are expected in due course.
