GreenTech Metals Ltd (ASX:GRE) has completed its Phase 1 drill program at the recently acquired Munni Munni PGE-Cu-Ni Project in Western Australia, with the campaign finishing ahead of schedule as the company leveraged preserved historical core to reduce fresh drilling requirements.

The program comprised 2,682 metres of reverse circulation and diamond drilling across 12 holes, including six infill RC holes designed to assess resource continuity in selected areas.
Strong preservation of stored historical Munni Munni core, allowed GRE to resample selected mineralised intervals, replacing some planned drill holes and helping accelerate the quality assurance and quality control process while delivering drilling cost savings.
Sampling of historical core from 16 drill holes has now been completed, with all 2,143 samples from the program sent to ALS Global laboratories in Perth for analysis. Assay results are expected in four to six weeks.

Historic resource review advances alongside assay process
Resource consultants Snowden Optiro are carrying out QA/QC validation of the historic resource dataset as part of work aimed at supporting a Mineral Resource Estimate in line with the JORC Code (2012). That process is set to be completed once all assay results are received.
The Munni Munni project sits on granted mining leases in the West Pilbara, adjacent to GreenTech’s Whundo Copper-Zinc-Gold Project, and hosts a historical JORC 2004 mineral resource estimate of 24 million tonnes at 2.9g/t 4E for 2.2 million ounces.
GreenTech noted the estimate is historical in nature and not reported under the JORC Code (2012), with further evaluation and exploration work required before it can be classified as a current mineral resource or ore reserve.
