Valereum PLC (AQSE:VLRM, FRA:6TJ) announced that its shares will begin trading on the OTCQB Venture Market in the United States today, under the ticker VLRMF.
The OTC listing is seen as a gateway to a broader US investor base, the company highlighted.
Valereum, which in the UK is listed on AQSE, told investors that OTCQB admission should increase accessibility for US institutional and retail investors, while potentially improving liquidity and price discovery as it seeks to build visibility in North America.
The board described the OTCQB listing as a “significant step” in Valereum’s longer-term strategy, adding that a presence in US trading infrastructure could support engagement with American investors and potentially pave the way toward a major US exchange listing, subject to meeting applicable requirements.
James Bannon, Valereum executive chair, described today's news as "another ticked box" in the digital assets group's plan for global growth.
"OTCQB approval is a great development for Valereum," Bannon said.
"It gives us access to US capital markets, significantly widens our potential investor base, and supports our longer-term ambition of establishing a deeper presence in the States."
