Cobalt Blue Holdings Ltd Business Development Manager Joel Crane talked with Proactive about a major technical milestone for the company’s Kwinana Cobalt Refinery project in Western Australia, after cobalt sulphate samples produced using the company’s proprietary process met strict battery precursor material specifications from a prospective Japanese customer.
Crane explained that the samples, produced at the company’s Broken Hill Technology Centre, were sent to potential Japanese partners for qualification. The material successfully met their stringent trace metal purity and physical requirements — an important step for the company as it advances toward a final investment decision for the refinery project.
