St George Mining Ltd executive chairman John Prineas talked with Proactive about a significant resource upgrade at the company’s 100%-owned Araxá rare earths–niobium project in Brazil.
Speaking from the PDAC mining conference in Toronto, Prineas outlined how the latest Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) has increased substantially following ongoing drilling at the project. The updated estimate now stands at 70.91 million tonnes at 4.06% total rare earth oxides (TREO) and 0.62% niobium pentoxide (Nb₂O₅) at a 2% TREO cut-off, representing a 75% increase in total resources.
Looking ahead, St George Mining plans to continue drilling and advance economic studies as it works towards development.
