Open Campus, Le & Associates and SKALE sign MoU for credential-led job matching pilot in Vietnam

Open Campus, the community-led decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) backed by Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd (Unlisted (AU):AB1) that is building a blockchain-powered financial layer for education, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Vietnamese human resources firm Le & Associates and recruitment technology platform SKALE to explore a credential-powered job matching initiative in Vietnam.

The collaboration aims to combine Open Campus’s education ecosystem and credential and identity infrastructure with Le & Associates’ recruitment expertise and SKALE’s AI-driven digital hiring platform to enable candidates to share verified educational achievements directly with employers.

Under the proposed model, companies would be able to screen applicants based on validated skills and credentials rather than relying solely on self-reported resumes. Further details on the rollout are expected to be announced in due course.

The pilot is intended to initially focus on high school and university students entering the workforce, assessing how trusted, portable credentials could improve alignment between candidates’ verified capabilities and employers’ hiring requirements.

Pham Thi My Le, founder and chairwoman at Le & Associates, said verifiable credentials could help address persistent challenges in the recruitment process.

“In Vietnam’s fast-moving labour market, candidates and employers often struggle to clearly signal and match skills and capabilities,” she said.

“Verifiable credentials can help bridge this gap by giving employers more trusted information, while enabling candidates to present their achievements with greater clarity and confidence.”

AI-enabled screening and verifiable credentials to be tested in real workflows

Truong Binh Nguyen, chief executive officer of SKALE, said the platform would support the initiative with AI-powered recruitment tools designed to improve efficiency and transparency in hiring.

“SKALE is proud to contribute our online recruitment platform to this initiative,” Nguyen said.

“By leveraging AI-powered matching and intelligent screening, we seek to accelerate hiring cycles, enhance talent quality, and foster a more transparent and scalable bridge between enterprises and educational institutions.”

Jonah Lau, project lead and core contributor at Open Campus, said Vietnam presented a strong opportunity to test how credentialing could support recruitment outcomes.

“Vietnam is a market where education, skills, and employment pathways are rapidly evolving,” Lau said.

“We are excited to collaborate with Le & Associates and SKALE to demonstrate how verifiable credentials can be used in real hiring workflows — helping learners demonstrate what they have achieved and supporting employers to evaluate candidates with more trusted signals of skills and capabilities.”

As the initiative progresses, insights from the pilot are expected to inform future development of credential-powered recruitment and support broader adoption of Open Campus ID and verifiable credentials across Vietnam’s talent economy.

Le & Associates, founded in 2001, provides workforce solutions including staffing, outsourcing, payroll and recruitment services, deploying more than 26,000 employees nationwide and delivering more than 200 projects annually.

SKALE develops AI-driven HR technology designed to help organisations attract, assess and develop talent through competency-based matching and data-driven recruitment systems.

Open Campus is building a blockchain-powered financial layer for education and has launched EDU Chain, an Arbitrum Orbit blockchain designed for consumer-facing education applications and on-chain education finance (EduFi). Core contributors to the DAO include Animoca Brands, TinyTap, NewCampus, RiseIn and HackQuest.
