BSA Limited (ASX: BSA) has appointed mining executive David Geraghty as non-executive chairman, effective immediately.
Geraghty has more than 30 years’ experience across the resources and mining services sectors and is a qualified metallurgical engineer. He began his career at Rio Tinto, working in orebody evaluation, before joining Mineral Resources Ltd (ASX:MIN).
During a 21-year tenure at Mineral Resources, he held senior executive roles spanning mining and services and was involved in the company’s growth into a multi-billion-dollar ASX-listed business, with exposure to iron ore and lithium operations.
More recently, Geraghty served as chairman of Forrestania Resources Ltd (ASX:FRS), where the company progressed from a junior explorer toward becoming an emerging gold producer. Durisng his tenure, Forrestania defined a resource base of about 0.6 Moz gold and secured processing infrastructure intended to support near-term production, alongside a market re-rating to around A$700 million in market capitalisation within 12 months.
The appointment supports BSA's next phase of growth, with the board pointing to Geraghty’s experience in scaling businesses, operational execution and capital discipline as relevant to the company’s strategy.
