Robotic construction technology company FBR Limited (ASX:FBR) has executed a binding Wall as a Service® (WaaS®) Offtake Agreement with Victorian modular builder EW Distribution Pty Ltd, trading as AMOVEO, covering a minimum of 5,400 vertical square metres of wall construction over 24 months.
The contract is valued at $400,000–$450,000 for single-leaf walls, inclusive of block and adhesive costs.
The company framed the agreement as progress against its 2026 strategic milestone to secure a binding multi-unit domestic pipeline and support its target of a binding order equivalent to at least 20 homes for its Hadrian® robotic bricklaying system in the local market.
FBR said the Hadrian machines will be used to pilot a “rapid-build” delivery methodology at scale under contracted WaaS projects.
Hybrid robotic-modular model
Alongside the offtake deal, FBR has entered a non-binding strategic memorandum of understanding with AMOVEO and registered national builder ASD Corporation Australia Pty Ltd to jointly develop and deliver a hybrid robotic–modular construction offering in Australia.
Under the MOU, the parties plan to integrate FBR’s Hadrian technology for external and internal wall construction with AMOVEO’s factory-built modular service cores, which incorporate kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and HVAC services.
FBR said the combined approach is intended to shorten build times and support delivery into segments including build-to-rent, social housing, NDIS-related housing and rent-to-buy programs.
AMOVEO and ASD have identified development sites along Australia’s east coast and expect to secure contracts to deliver about 200 homes over the next 12 months, according to FBR.
SDA pipeline and next steps
FBR said AMOVEO has an exclusive agreement with Life Care Assist to supply housing solutions nationally for a Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) portfolio, with Life Care Assist currently supporting more than 150 participants.
Following an initial batch of demonstration homes, the parties intend to move towards a 5-year commercialisation agreement to roll out the combined system nationally.
FBR said the agreements provide a commercial proving ground to refine supply chains and site logistics ahead of a planned Hadrian Homes division.
