Standard Uranium details drill plans for Rocas uranium project

Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF, FRA:9SU0) revealed it has locked in plans for the first-ever drill program at its Rocas uranium project in Saskatchewan’s eastern Athabasca Basin, as partner Collective Metals moves to fund the inaugural campaign under a three-year earn-in option.

Phase I is set to comprise roughly 1,200 to 1,500 metres of diamond drilling across six to eight holes, targeting shallow basement-hosted uranium mineralisation in zones the company says sit around 100 to 200 metres below surface.

Targets have been refined using anomalous uranium occurrences confirmed during a 2025 prospecting and mapping programme.

This included radioactivity readings up to 33,000 counts per second and 10 separate occurrences above 10,000 cps, alongside a 2024 high-resolution ground gravity survey integrated with historical electromagnetic corridors and fault structures. Assay results from the 2025 program are pending.

Collective will fund 100% of the drill program to meet year-one expenditure requirements, while Standard Uranium continues as operator.

"We have worked to integrate the highest-confidence geoscientific data currently available to identify robust targets along an untested structural corridor that we believe is uranium-fertile," said Sean Hillacre, Standard Uranium president and VP of exploration.

"Our exploration thesis for the Project is focused on targeting shallow, structurally hosted, high-grade uranium mineralisation."

The company said key contractors have been secured, with drill crews expected to mobilise to site as early as mid-March.
