Hercules secures £6.7m of contracts with National Grid

Hercules PLC (LSE:HERC) told investors that its specialist power-and-energy subsidiary Advantage NRG has secured c.£6.7m of additional contracted works across the National Grid network in England, adding to revenue visibility as UK electricity networks step up investment.

The new awards run from March to October 2026, with the company expecting to deploy up to 70 operatives at peak delivery as it scales crews for overhead transmission-line construction and maintenance.

The contract wins build on a February update, when Hercules flagged £6.5m of Advantage NRG contracted works running January to December 2026.

Chief executive Brusk Korkmaz said rising demand for specialist linesman teams is underpinning momentum, with Hercules positioning the power sector as a key growth driver as network operators invest in resilience and capacity.

"Advantage NRG is going from strength to strength thanks to the increasing demand for its specialist teams from electricity network operators across the UK," he said.

It is part of a wider phase of investment by National Grid, which has pledged to invest some £58 billion to extend and modernise the country's networks.
