Intuit’s quarterly earnings top estimates but soft guidance dissapoints

Intuit Inc (NASDAQ:INTU, XETRA:ITU) reported better-than-expected results for the fiscal second quarter, but its shares came under pressure as its guidance fell short of expectations.

The company behind the platforms Intuit TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp said it expects earnings between $12.45 and $12.51 for the current quarter, below the consensus $12.97.

The company also said it expects revenue growth of 10%, representing a slowdown from 17% growth in the December quarter.

For Q2, revenue increased to $4.7 billion, ahead of expectations of $4.53 billion. Global Business Solutions revenue was up 18% at $3.2 billion, Online Ecosystem revenue grew 21% to $2.5 billion, and Consumer revenue was up 15% at $1.5 billion.

Earnings per share of $4.15 beat estimates of $3.68 and marked a 25% improvement from the year-ago quarter.

"We delivered an outstanding second quarter, driven by disciplined execution,” Intuit CEO Sasan Goodarzi said in a statement.

Sandeep Aujla, Intuit’s chief financial officer, added: "Our momentum across the company continues to give us high confidence in delivering double-digit revenue growth and expanding margin this year, and we are reiterating our full-year guidance for fiscal 2026.”

Intuit continues to expect full-year revenue of $20.997 billion to $21.186 billion, growth of 12% to 13%, and earnings per share in the range of $22.98 to $23.18, growth of 14% to 15%.

Shares of Intuit fell 2.7% afterhours on Thursday.
