The Smarter Web Company (AQSE:SWC) has established a $30 million secured credit facility with Coinbase Credit, positioning it as a way to move faster during fundraising settlement windows while limiting settlement-related risk in volatile markets.
The London-listed web services group said the facility is designed to let it deploy capital into Bitcoin immediately after new equity issues, rather than waiting for funds to settle.
It stressed the arrangement is not intended to be used as long-term financing for Bitcoin purchases.
Key terms include security against Bitcoin holdings held within Coinbase, daily interest charged only on amounts drawn, and no fees beyond interest on cash used. The facility has no fixed maturity date and can be repaid at the company’s discretion.
