THG founder Matthew Moulding buys £8.5m of shares, lifting stock close to 8%

Matthew Moulding has bought 24.4 million THG PLC (LSE:THG) shares at 34.93p each through his family investment vehicle, FIC Shareco, in a transaction worth roughly £8.5 million that sent the stock up nearly 8% to 37.54p.

The purchase, made on 20 February, takes the founder and chief executive's fully stake in the e-commerce group to 25.4%, comprising 332 million ordinary voting shares and 122 million unlisted ordinary shares.

His voting rights position has risen from 18.76% to 20.24%.

Last month, THG revealed it ended 2025 with its best quarter of trading in four years, with group revenue growing 7% and delivering the company's first full-year growth since 2021.

The Manchester-headquartered ecommerce group, whose brands include Lookfantastic, Myprotein and Cult Beauty, reported full-year revenue growth of 2.3%, a meaningful turnaround from the 2.5% decline recorded in the first half of the year.

Full-year adjusted EBITDA is expected to land at £75 million, in line with consensus, rising to around £100 million in 2026.
