Ocean Power Technologies Inc (NYSE-A:OPTT) has provided an operational update outlining recent deployments and development milestones related to its offshore autonomy infrastructure roadmap.
The company said it has shipped a WAM-V autonomous surface vehicle to Greece to support ongoing customer operations and field activity in the region.
According to OPT, the deployment expands its international operational footprint and reflects continued engagement across defense and commercial maritime markets.
Separately, OPT reported that its integrated docking and charging program has moved from the prototype phase to a full-scale build, including autonomous docking and redeployment capabilities. The company said it has placed orders for components to support system integration and open-water validation.
OPT stated that it is advancing toward its first early-access commercial solution targeted for launch in 2026. The capability is intended to allow autonomous systems to dock, recharge, and redeploy in support of persistent offshore operations and as part of a future maritime recharging network.
The company also noted continued progress in its collaboration with Mythos AI. OPT said recent developments have improved perception, decision-making, and autonomous functionality required for maritime operations in dynamic environments.
“Our focus remains on disciplined execution across deployments, government programs, and infrastructure development,” Ocean Power Technologies CEO Philipp Stratmann said in a statement.
“We are advancing the core capabilities required to support scalable, persistent maritime autonomy for defense and commercial customers.”
