Argentina Lithium & Energy outlines exploration plan for Rincon West lithium project

Argentina Lithium & Energy Corp (TSX-V:LIT, OTCQX:LILIF) has outlined the next steps for advancing its Rincon West lithium project in Salta, Argentina, following the filing of its maiden NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate.

The technical report, effective November 27, 2025, is based on 14 diamond drill holes totaling 4,823.2 metres, one production well, and supporting geophysical work. It identified additional pump testing in the western Villanoveño II concession and infill drilling in the Rinconcita II concession as key exploration priorities. The company said these recommendations have been incorporated into a multi-stage exploration plan.

Permits have been obtained for rotary wells to support pump testing, with work expected to begin as early as next quarter, subject to funding and equipment availability. Additional diamond drilling and related fieldwork, aimed at upgrading resource classifications and supporting future feasibility studies, will require further permits and financing.

"Management believes that Rincon West has strong potential to be advanced through initial economic assessment and towards a Feasibility Study and potential commercial lithium production,” Argentina Lithium CEO Nikolaos Cacos said in a statement.

“Subject to funding and project conditions, we look forward to advancing drilling and progressing into initial pump testing as the next phases of work at Rincon West.

Argentina Lithium also noted its December 2025 memorandum of understanding with Xi’an Lanshen New Material Technology Co., Ltd., under which the parties plan to collaborate on deploying Direct Lithium Extraction technology to help advance Rincon West toward a feasibility study and potential commercial production.

The company said execution of the broader exploration plan is contingent on securing additional funding and is not currently part of its stated objectives for the next 12 months. Proceeds from its January 2026 offering are intended for near-term activities and working capital, not the expanded exploration program.

“With our recently announced Memorandum of Understanding signed with Lanshen, management believes we potentially will have an outstanding strategic partnership to facilitate that work, allowing us to advance and maximise the value of the Rincon West project,” Cacos added.

Argentina Lithium also highlighted its 2023 strategic investment and offtake agreement with Stellantis, which includes a 19.9% stake in its Argentine subsidiary and rights to purchase up to 15,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate per year once commercial production begins.

Further, the company disclosed that a complaint filed in Texas federal court names its CEO and chairman, but not the company itself. Argentina Lithium said it is monitoring the matter and will take appropriate steps if necessary.
