M2i Global Inc (OTC:MTWO) announced that it and Volato Group (NYSE:SOAR) have entered a Strategic Collaboration Agreement with SMX (NASDAQ:SMX), a company focused on supply chain traceability and integrity solutions.
The agreement establishes a structured collaboration to support a pilot initiative focused on physical and digital shipment-assurance technologies, as well as digital traceability, custody, and commercialization workflows through M2i’s CAINO digital backbone and Metals Marketplace.
The initiative aims to demonstrate a new standard for trusted critical mineral commerce, connecting shipment verification with authenticated marketplace transactions.
The pilot program will initially involve controlled shipments of critical minerals from Western Australia to the United States. The demonstration is designed to validate traceability and commerce integration in real-world conditions, including physical tagging, tamper-evident controls, and digital evidence capture at key custody points.
M2i’s CAINO digital backbone will provide serialized digital records for each lot, enabling custody event logging, evidence capture, and audit-ready traceability. The collaboration aims to show that authenticated lots can be listed and transacted on the M2i Metals Marketplace, providing a repeatable framework for trusted mineral onboarding.
“This Collaboration Agreement with SMX is a first step to strengthen M2i’s ability to make trusted mineral supply chains operational, not theoretical,” M2i CEO Major General (Ret) Alberto Rosende said in a statement.
“Together, we are aiming to align physical assurance, digital custody evidence, and marketplace execution into a single, scalable model that can support US industrial resilience and national security supply chains.”
Oliver Buckle-Wright, VP Client Success at SMX, added: “We view M2i’s operational model and CAINO infrastructure as highly aligned with the mission of bringing traceability and assurance into real-world commodity movement.”
The non-binding agreement has a 12-month term, with potential for further discussions and a more permanent operational relationship following the pilot. M2i and SMX said the collaboration could expand to include additional technology and logistics partners.
M2i and Volato are currently in the process of merging, combining M2i’s critical minerals supply chain platform with Volato’s technology and operational capabilities.
