Arika Resources positions for re-rating as drilling momentum builds across Leonora-Laverton gold assets

Arika Resources Ltd (ASX:ARI) is positioning itself as a high-growth gold explorer in one of Western Australia’s most richly endowed gold provinces, with accelerating drilling across its Yundamindra and Kookynie projects underpinning the potential for a market re-rating.

The company’s February 2026 investor presentation outlines a strategy focused on aggressive exploration within a large, underexplored landholding in the Leonora-Laverton belt — a region that has delivered multiple multi-million-ounce gold deposits over decades of production.

Arika currently holds 80% of both the Yundamindra and Kookynie gold projects, with Nex Metals Ltd (ASX:NME) retaining the remaining 20%.

A leveraged explorer in a tier-one gold address

Arika controls approximately 300km² of tenure in the Leonora-Laverton belt, one of WA’s premier gold districts. The ground hosts significant historical production but has seen minimal systematic exploration over the past ~20 years due largely to fragmented ownership.

Now consolidated under a single operator, the projects are being subjected to a coordinated, large-scale drilling campaign. More than 25,000 metres was drilled in 2025, with further drilling underway in 2026.

This combination — proven gold endowment, limited modern exploration and an aggressive drilling program — gives Arika strong leverage to discovery success.

As at February 4, 2026, the company had 1,117 million shares on issue, a share price of A$0.032 and an undiluted market capitalisation of A$36 million. Cash at the December quarter stood at A$4.9 million, with an enterprise value of approximately A$31 million.

Yundamindra: Camp-scale potential in a world-class goldfield

The Yundamindra project spans roughly 100km² along the western margin of the Laverton Greenstone Belt. Two strongly mineralised corridors have been identified:

  • The 10 kilometre-long Eastern Corridor, known as the Red Brick Road
  • The 16 kilometre-long Western Corridor, known as the Yellow Brick Road

Within these corridors, Arika has already delineated two advanced high-grade discoveries — Pennyweight Point in the east and Landed at Last in the west — both moving toward resource definition.

Multiple additional priority targets have been generated through geophysical and geochemical datasets, with ultra-detailed aeromagnetic surveys recently completed over the southern Emerald City Complex area.

Pennyweight Point: Emerging large-scale high-grade system

Pennyweight Point has rapidly evolved into a significant high-grade gold system, with drilling defining mineralisation over more than 350 metres of strike and to at least 200 metres down-dip. The system remains open along strike, down-plunge and at depth.

Standout intercepts include:

  • 14 metres at 15.48 grams per tonne (g/t) Au from 46 metres
  • 10 metres at 9.02g/t Au from 251 metres
  • 30 metres at 3.86g/t Au from 89 metres
  • 33 metres at 3.35g/t Au from 22 metres

Expansional RC drilling is underway, targeting strike, plunge and depth extensions to the south-east, alongside close-spaced orebody definition drilling to guide mineral resource modelling.

Importantly, drilling 2 kilometres south along the Red Brick Road has already delivered shallow high-grade hits, including 4 metres at 9.21g/t Au from 48 metres, including 1 metre at 35.3g/t Au. This reinforces the broader corridor-scale opportunity and suggests Pennyweight Point may represent only one node within a much larger mineralised system.

Landed at Last: Strike extension triples to 2.5km

On the Western Corridor, the Landed at Last discovery is emerging as a second major growth centre.

Drilling has defined mineralisation over more than 800m of strike and greater than 150 metres down-dip from surface, while a cross-cutting F1 fault zone has been traced for over 400 metres of strike and more than 100 metres vertically.

High-grade results include:

  • 4 metres at 41.56g/t Au from 52 metres
  • 30 metres at 2.26g/t Au from 26 metres
  • 27 metres at 2.45g/t Au from 61 metres

Wide-spaced drilling has now extended the mineralised structure to at least 2.5 kilometres of strike — effectively tripling the defined strike length and confirming Landed at Last as a priority focus for near-term resource delineation.

The broader 10-kilometre-long Yellow Brick Road corridor further enhances the camp-scale narrative at Yundamindra.

Kookynie: Reviving a historical goldfield

At Kookynie, Arika controls approximately 150km² of tenure within the Keith-Kilkenny Tectonic Zone north of Kalgoorlie. The project sits along strike from Genesis Minerals’ 2.23Moz Ulysses Gold Project.

Multiple deposits — including McTavish, Leipold and Champion — remain open along strike and at depth. Previous drilling has returned high-grade intercepts such as:

  • 10 metres at 7.44g/t Au from 108 metres
  • 9 metres at 7.91g/t Au from 34 metres
  • 8 metres at 9.33g/t Au from 97 metres
  • 4 metres at 26.91g/t Au from 65 metres

Ultrafine soil geochemistry has also identified new priority targets, including at Ithaca, located along strike from Genesis Minerals’ Orient Well project.

Kookynie represents a second, underexplored growth platform, offering blue-sky upside beyond Yundamindra.

Two near-term resource catalysts, broader camp-scale upside

Arika’s near-term focus centres on advancing Pennyweight Point and Landed at Last toward mineral resource estimates. With more than 25,000 metres drilled in 2025 and drilling continuing into 2026, both deposits are being systematically expanded and infilled.

Beyond these emerging resource centres, the company retains a major pipeline of targets across both projects, underpinning a broader camp-scale exploration strategy.

In a district that has historically delivered large-scale gold systems, Arika is assembling the key ingredients for value creation: tenure consolidation, high-grade hits, expanding strike lengths and active drill rigs.

For investors seeking leverage to discovery and resource growth in a tier-one gold belt, the coming year of drilling at Yundamindra and Kookynie shapes as a defining period for the company.
