Percheron Therapeutics Ltd (ASX:PER, OTC:PERCF) has secured acceptance of an abstract for presentation at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting, scheduled for April 17–22, 2026, in San Diego, California.
The abstract focuses on results from its recently completed Phase 1 study of HMBD-002 in patients with advanced cancer, with full results to be disclosed at the meeting in line with AACR embargo rules.
AACR’s annual meeting is one of the sector’s largest global gatherings, attracting more than 22,000 cancer researchers and related delegates from 85 countries and territories at the 2025 conference, according to AACR meeting wrap-up materials.
Phase I HMBD-002 results to be highlighted
Percheron last week outlined progress on HMBD-002 and noted the immunotherapy program is ready to move into Phase 2 clinical testing after Phase 1 is complete.
Chief executive officer Dr James Garner said the company has undergone a “significant reset” across both its asset base and internal structure, describing HMBD-002 as a new opportunity for Percheron.
Garner said the asset is not scientifically related to the company’s prior programs and targets a different disease pathway, which he said makes it uncorrelated with earlier setbacks.
The AACR Annual Meeting is typically used by oncology developers to present new clinical and translational data to an audience that includes academic researchers, pharmaceutical industry representatives and investors.
Percheron’s HMBD-002 is its lead oncology program and has been the focus of the company’s recent clinical updates.
