Greatland Resources Ltd (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF, FRA:G8G, ASX:GGP) has announced the resignation of chief operating officer Simon Tyrrell, with the executive stepping down from the role as the company begins a formal process to recruit a permanent successor.
Tyrrell will remain available to Greatland until 30 June 2026 to support the transition, the miner said.
Otto Richter has been appointed acting COO. Richter has served as Greatland’s group mining engineer since 2021 and brings more than 25 years of experience, predominantly across open pit and underground gold mining. Greatland said he has been a key member of the senior leadership team involved in operational and mine planning decisions and has a detailed understanding of the company’s assets.
"Simon has been an important part of Greatland's management team and we appreciate his positive contribution towards the Company's safety and operational outcomes," said managing director Shaun Day. "I thank Simon for his efforts and commitment to Greatland and wish him well in his future endeavours."
