Critical Resources Ltd (ASX:CRR, FRA:9S70) will host an investor webinar on Friday, February 20, providing shareholders with an update on its solid-state battery evaluation program and broader strategy in next-generation energy storage.
The session will feature managing director Tim Wither alongside technical advisor Dr Alevtina Smirnova, a globally recognised solid-state battery scientist who recently joined the company. Dr Smirnova is a widely credited inventor in the solid-state battery field and brings decades of research and commercialisation experience to the role.

The webinar is expected to provide background on solid-state battery technology, as well as context on Critical Resources’ ongoing evaluation work being undertaken under the US National Science Foundation-backed Centre for Solid State Electric Power Storage (CEPS) framework. The program is being conducted in partnership with the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology (SDM).

Solid-state batteries are widely regarded as a potential step-change in energy storage, offering the prospect of higher energy density, improved safety and longer cycle life compared with conventional lithium-ion batteries. The company has positioned its evaluation program as an opportunity to better understand the technical and commercial pathways for emerging battery chemistries.
The upcoming webinar will give investors the chance to hear directly from Dr Smirnova about the science underpinning the program and how the CEPS framework supports collaboration between academia, government and industry. Management is also expected to outline how the evaluation work complements Critical Resources’ broader portfolio.
