OptiBiotix Health PLC (AIM:OPTI, OTCQB:OPTBF) shares rose 10% to 6.42p on Tuesday after the life sciences group said it had no current intention to sell its 5.64% stake in SkinBioTherapeutics following market uncertainty caused by recent statements from the skincare company.
OptiBiotix also said it had not sold any shares in ProBiotix Health and had no current plans to do so.
Unaudited cash as of December 31 was just over £1 million, up from £739,000 a year earlier, and OptiBiotix said it had no current requirement to raise new funds.
Stephen O’Hara, chief executive, said the board believed the business fundamentals were strong, citing progress in SweetBiotix and a “recent large order” from Meelung of 24 metric tonnes announced on January 21, alongside what it called a record start to 2026.
