MTI Wireless Edge shares jump after trading update points to earnings beat

MTI Wireless Edge Limited (AIM:MWE) rose 16% to 59.5p on Tuesday after the AIM-listed technology group said revenue and profit for 2025 would come in at the top end of forecasts.

MTI said unaudited revenue for the year ended December 31 was expected to be about $51.5 million, at the high end of management’s understanding of market expectations of $50.46 million to $51.5 million.

Earnings before interest and tax rose about 30% from 2024, it said, and earnings per share were expected to be “significantly ahead” of forecasts for adjusted earnings per share of 5.1c to 5.27c.

Operating cash generation was strong and net cash at the end of the year was expected to be about $9.4 million, compared with market forecasts of about $7.46 million to $8.5 million.

Moni Borovitz, chief executive, said: “2025 was a good year with all three divisions contributing strongly,” adding that the defence sector was “the key area of outperformance” as governments “globally continue to commit to greater Defence spending”.

MTI expects to publish audited final results in early March 2026.
