Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN, OTCQB:ANSNF) will start a uranium and vanadium drilling program in early March 2026 at its Yellow Cat U-V Project in Utah, targeting a 2,500-metre extension of mineralisation along strike of the historical resource.
The program will focus on the eastern block of the project, where mineralisation is shallow or outcropping and positioned above the water table, supporting planned drill depths of 12 metres to 40 metres. A drilling contractor has been selected, with mobilisation scheduled for early March.

Aiming to link historical workings over 4,500m
Anson’s objective is to confirm that uranium and vanadium mineralisation extends for 4,500 metres between known historical workings. The upcoming drilling is designed to test continuity over a 2,500-metre strike length between the Windy Point and McCoy Group areas through to the Cactus Rat and Mineral Treasure mines.
The eastern claim block hosts a well-defined east-west striking zone of uranium and vanadium mineralisation within sandstone units of the Morrison Formation. If successful, the company plans follow-up drilling to support future mineral resource definition in the eastern area.
Sampling completed during previous exploration programs returned rock chip assays of up to 10.33% U₃O₈ and 25.61% V₂O₅ from exposed mineralisation and underground workings, underpinning the current drill targeting strategy.

Central block drilling to verify historical resource
In parallel, Anson is planning a reverse circulation and diamond drilling program in the central block to twin historical drillholes and confirm legacy assay results.
Verification work could support a potential upgrade of the historical resource to a 2012 JORC-compliant mineral resource, subject to confirmation. The company has identified numerous open historical drillholes that may allow new downhole surveys to be conducted, potentially reducing the scale and cost of future drilling.
The Yellow Cat project comprises 151 unpatented federal lode mining claims in Utah, with uranium and vanadium mineralisation hosted across multiple sandstone lenses within the Morrison Formation.
