Market movers: Unity Software, Shopify, Lyft, Cloudflare…

Cisco Systems Inc (NASDAQ:CSCO, XETRA:CIS) shares fell about 4% after Wednesday’s closing bell as investors weighed up the global technology firm’s better-than-expected quarterly report and guidance for the current quarter, which was slightly above consensus estimates.

For the quarter, Cisco reported record revenue of $15.3 billion, up 10% year-over-year, compared with Wall Street expectations of $15.1 billion.

Unity Software Inc (NYSE:U) reported fourth quarter 2025 earnings that topped Wall Street forecasts, but its shares fell more than 28% as the company issued a cautious outlook for the first quarter of 2026.

For Q1, the game-making platform projected revenue of $480 million to $490 million, below Wall Street’s $491.8 million consensus, and adjusted EBITDA of $105 million to $110 million.

Moderna Inc (NASDAQ:MRNA, XETRA:0QF) shares fell almost 6% after the drugmaker announced that the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) has issued a Refusal-to-File (RTF) letter for the company’s biologics license application for its investigational seasonal influenza vaccine, mRNA-1010.

According to the company, the FDA cited the choice of a licensed standard-dose influenza vaccine as the comparator in Moderna’s Phase 3 trial as the reason for the refusal.

Shopify Inc (TSX:SH., NYSE:SHOP) shares were down nearly 13% on Wednesday, even as the e-commerce platform reported fourth-quarter revenue and earnings per share that exceeded analyst expectations.

For Q4 2025, Shopify posted revenue of $3.67 billion, above the $3.59 billion consensus, marking a 31% increase year-over-year. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.57, beating the $0.51 estimate.

Cloudflare (NYSE:NET) shares jumped almost 11% to just shy of $200 in early trade following the company’s fourth quarter report which topped revenue expectations.

For the quarter, Cloudflare reported revenue of $614.5 million, up 34% year over year, above the consensus estimate of $591.3 million.

Lyft Inc (NASDAQ:LYFT) shares fell about 13% at the open on Wednesday after the ride-hailing company reported fourth quarter results that met revenue expectations but offered a softer profitability outlook, with analysts pointing to slowing ride growth and competitive pressures.

For the fourth quarter, Lyft reported adjusted earnings of $0.16 per share, above the $0.12 per share expected by analysts. Adjusted revenue was $1.76 billion, up 3% and in line with consensus estimates.

Mattel, Inc (NASDAQ:MAT) shares opened 27% lower on Wednesday after the toymaker reported quarterly results that fell short of Wall Street expectations and outlined a year of strategic investments that are likely to pressure near-term earnings.

The company posted net sales of $1.77 billion in the fourth quarter, up 7% as reported and 5% in constant currency.

Fermi Inc (NASDAQ:FRMI, LSE:FRMI) shares climbed 13% to $10.49 after the company announced a $500 million financing facility with MUFG Bank to accelerate its gigawatt-scale power development plans.

The loan, structured as a non-recourse turbine “warehouse” facility, enables Fermi America to purchase three Siemens Energy SGT6-5000F gas turbines and repay a prior loan.

Renalytix PLC (AIM:RENX, OTC:RNLXY, FRA:2O9) shares dropped 25% to 4.25p after the company posted first-half revenues of $1.6 million and flagged slower-than-expected progress in rolling out its kidney disease diagnostic test.

The company, which develops the FDA-approved and Medicare-reimbursed kidneyintelX.dkd test for early-stage diabetic kidney disease, said full-year revenue is now expected to reach $4 million, up from $3 million in the previous year.
