Arizona Gold & Silver appoints Darin Wagner as CEO advisor

Arizona Gold & Silver Inc (TSX-V:AZS, OTCQB:AZASF, FRA:A9J0) announced that it has appointed Darin Wagner as an advisor to the company’s chief executive officer.

Wagner is a professional geologist with more than 35 years of experience in mineral exploration and corporate development.

His background includes public company fundraising, corporate governance, and merger and acquisition transactions, as well as technical expertise in gold exploration across mesothermal, epithermal, and porphyry systems.

Wagner has previously co-founded or managed several exploration companies in the Abitibi region, including West Timmins Mining, Falco Pacific Resources, and Balmoral Resources. West Timmins and Balmoral were later acquired in transactions valued at approximately $424 million and $160 million, respectively. Falco Pacific Resources was transferred to the Osisko Group following the acquisition of the Horne deposit in Quebec.

More recently, Wagner has served as a management and technical advisor to a range of exploration and mining companies, including Gatling Exploration, Nova Royalties, and MAG Silver, each of which has been involved in subsequent acquisition transactions.

“Darin and I have known each other for many years, and throughout that time I have been consistently impressed by both his professional achievements in geology and the integrity and respect he has earned within the exploration and mining community,” Arizona Gold & Silver CEO Mike Stark said in a statement. “Darin has clearly demonstrated his capabilities, and I look forward to collaborating with him on our projects.”

Wagner expressed excitement about working with the Arizona Gold & Silver team. “With the Philadelphia project having recently produced a series of high-grade gold intercepts which compare very favorably with early stage results from any number of significant discoveries over the last decade in the Americas, it is an exciting company to be a shareholder of, and to be directly involved with,” he said.

The company also announced that Wagner has been granted 200,000 stock options at an exercise price of $1 per share, with a five-year term. The options are fully vested as of the grant date and remain subject to approval by the TSX Venture Exchange.
