Ordell Minerals (ASX: ORD) has reported further reverse circulation results from its Barimaia Gold Project near Mount Magnet in WA, saying drilling continues to define a consistent, shallow zone of gold mineralisation at the McNabs East prospect.
The latest assays are from RC drilling completed in December 2025 over about 400 metres of strike, testing to a maximum vertical depth of about 90m, with mineralisation starting about 10 metres below surface and showing potential open pit geometry.
Ordell highlighted multiple shallow results from McNabs East, including 19 metres at 2.29 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 53 metres, 16 metres at 1.84g/t from 19 metres and 7 metres at 3.19g/t from 10 metres, as it works to tighten drill spacing and extend the interpretation along strike.

The mineralisation remains open along strike and will continue to be tested down the interpreted plunge to the east.
Step-out drilling returns high-grade hit further east
Ordell also reported drilling completed about 500 metres east of McNabs East has intersected high-grade mineralisation, including 2 metres at 23.66g/t gold from 79 metres, including 1 metre at 46.8g/t from 79 metres.
It said the intercept forms part of a mineralised zone now defined over a 200 metres vertical extent and is interpreted to sit along the strike and plunge of the near-surface McNabs East mineralisation, with further results pending from an extension of hole 25BADD022.
Aircore work outlines new target about 2km east
Aircore drilling has also outlined a large exploration target about 2km east of McNabs East, with Ordell reporting bottom-of-hole assays up to 2.88g/t gold.
The company said wide-spaced follow-up drilling is planned to test aircore-generated anomalism east of McNabs East.
Drilling program to restart as Ordell targets +7km strike
Managing director Michael Fowler said the December infill RC program was aimed at further delineating what he described as an “emerging open pit prospect”, adding the drilling has confirmed a robust shallow system that dips moderately south and is interpreted to plunge shallowly east.
“We are very pleased to announce further strong drilling results from the in-fill RC drilling program at McNabs East which was completed over about 400m of strike extent in December, aimed at further delineating this emerging open pit prospect.
“The drilling has confirmed a robust zone of shallow gold mineralisation which dips moderately to the south, comes to within less then 10m of surface and is interpreted to plunge shallowly to the east.
“Meanwhile drilling completed in the December Quarter of 2025 has confirmed a large drill target at McNabs East and also further to the east where air-core geochemical drilling has intersected strong gold anomalism.
What's next
Drilling will resume next week to test extensions to known mineralisation and pursue new discoveries at McNabs East, as well as along more than 7 km of the host granodiorite intrusions’ defined strike.
The program will include:
- Ongoing drilling at McNabs East to test strike and plunge extensions of gold mineralisation, targeting high-grade zones.
- Wide-spaced drilling to follow up air-core gold anomalism east of McNabs East.
- Further RC drilling to test the mineralised corridor from McNabs through to the Furnace prospect.
- Wide-spaced RC drilling to test targets west of the McNabs Prospect.
