Roblox surges on strong bookings, user growth

Roblox Corp (NYSE:RBLX) reported a sharp jump in bookings, users and engagement in the fourth quarter, sending its shares up 8.4% in premarket trading.

The company posted revenue of $1.4 billion, up 43% from a year earlier, beating Wall Street expectations. Bookings, a key metric capturing sales of virtual currency and subscriptions, surged 63% to $2.2 billion.

Roblox reported a consolidated net loss of $318 million for the quarter ended in December, or $0.45 per share, narrower than analysts’ expectation of a $0.47 loss, according to FactSet.

User metrics showed strong growth, with average daily active users rising 69% year-on-year to 144 million and average monthly unique payers jumping 94% to 36.7 million. Operating cash flow climbed 229% to $607 million.

“Roblox’s success is rooted in the boundless creativity of our creator community. In 2025, their dedication resulted in massive growth in our platform and enabled our top 1,000 creators to earn an average of $1.3 million,” CEO David Baszucki said.

“Looking ahead, we are confident in our vision to connect 1 billion users and capture 10% of the global gaming market.”

Roblox expects first-quarter revenue of $1.69 billion to $1.74 billion, roughly in line with analysts’ consensus of $1.72 billion. The company also issued an upbeat full-year 2026 revenue outlook of $8.28 billion to $8.55 billion, above the FactSet consensus of $8.02 billion.

Wedbush analysts said Roblox’s strong fourth-quarter performance and ambitious guidance underscore healthy monetization trends despite moderated user growth. “Engagement per session is increasing, indicating a better monetization opportunity. Profitability was significant, with Adjusted EBITDA of $698.7 million, ahead of management’s target,” the firm wrote, maintaining an Outperform rating and $110 price target on the stock.

Wedbush also noted that Roblox is strategically positioning for future growth through new advertising partnerships and infrastructure investments aimed at boosting developer activity.

Shares of Roblox were up 8.4% in premarket trading on Friday.
