Alvopetro posts record January sales volumes, lifts Brazil gas price

Alvopetro Energy Ltd (TSX-V:ALV, OTC:ALVOF, FRA:A6Y0) said its January sales volumes rose 8% from the fourth-quarter average to a record high, supported by stronger output in Brazil and higher oil sales in Canada.

The Canada-based energy producer reported January sales of 3,099 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd), up from an average of 2,867 boepd in the fourth quarter of 2025, based on field estimates.

Sales in Brazil averaged 2,908 boepd during the month, driven primarily by natural gas production. Natural gas sales totaled 16.3 million cubic feet per day (MMcfpd), including 11.6 MMcfpd from the Caburé field and 4.7 MMcfpd from Murucututu.

Associated natural gas liquids sales averaged 175 barrels per day, while oil sales in Brazil totaled 15 barrels per day. The company noted that Brazilian oil volumes relate to the Bom Lugar and Mãe da Lua fields, which it has agreed to dispose of, subject to regulatory approvals including authorization from Brazil’s oil regulator ANP.

In Canada, Alvopetro said its fifth well was brought online in January, lifting average oil sales to 191 barrels per day, compared with 148 barrels per day in the fourth quarter.

Separately, Alvopetro said its long-term natural gas sales price in Brazil was adjusted higher beginning February 2026. The contracted price increased 2% to 1.85 Brazilian reais per cubic metre, from 1.81 reais previously.

The adjusted price applies to firm gas sales of up to 400,000 cubic metres per day through April 30, 2026. Based on current heat content and exchange rates, the company expects to realize about $10.69 per thousand cubic feet, net of sales taxes.

Natural gas sales above the firm contracted volume are being sold on a flexible basis at discounted prices, the company said.
