Market movers: AMD, Super Micro Computer, Take-Two Interactive…

VivoPower International (NASDAQ:VVPR, FRA:51J) is reshuffling its digital asset holdings, striking a deal that sees part of its Ripple Labs shares go to South Korea’s Kweather Co, while the company takes a 20% stake in the KOSDAQ-listed firm, the firm announced Wednesday.

As part of the deal, VivoPower will secure a 20% stake in KWeather valued at $4.3 million. The remaining Ripple Labs shares held by VivoPower are set to be acquired by Lean Ventures of South Korea, following a partnership agreement first announced in December 2025.

Texas Instruments Inc (NASDAQ:TXN) announced that it has agreed to acquire Silicon Laboratories (NASDAQ:SLAB) in an all-cash transaction valued at about $7.5 billion, expanding its presence in embedded wireless connectivity chips.

Under the agreement, Silicon Labs shareholders will receive $231 per share in cash.

Analysts at Wedbush and Baird welcomed Advanced Micro Devices Inc (NASDAQ:AMD, XETRA:AMD)’s fourth quarter 2025 results as solid, but flagged caveats which may have contributed to a sharp post-earnings sell-off.

Wedbush said AMD delivered “positive results, albeit also not as positive as the print looked,” noting that much of the data center upside came from MI308 sales to China, which suggested “more muted growth for AI silicon net this one-time benefit.”

The New York Times Company (NYSE:NYT) reported strong financial results for 2025 on Wednesday, driven by growth in digital subscriptions, rising digital advertising revenue, and expanding profit margins, highlighting the company’s multi-revenue stream strategy.

Total revenue for the year increased approximately 9%, with digital revenues outpacing declines in print, the company said. Digital subscription revenue rose roughly 14%, supported by 1.4 million net new digital subscribers, bringing the total to 12.8 million.

Uber Technologies Inc (NYSE:UBER, XETRA:UT8) posted fourth-quarter revenue that slightly beat Wall Street expectations, driven by robust demand across ride-hailing and delivery services, though adjusted earnings per share fell short of estimates.

Revenue rose 20% to $14.37 billion, surpassing analysts’ forecast of $14.32 billion, while gross bookings jumped 22% to $54.14 billion, above the $53 billion estimate. Trips on the Uber platform grew 22% to 3.8 billion.

Take-Two Interactive Software Inc (NASDAQ:TTWO) shares declined more than 3% following the release of its fiscal third quarter 2026 results, despite reporting strong revenue growth and raising its full-year outlook.

For the three months ended December 31, 2025, Take-Two posted Net Bookings of $1.76 billion, up 28% from $1.37 billion in the same period last year and exceeding the company’s guidance range.

Super Micro Computer Inc (NASDAQ:SMCI) shares surged more than 13% after the company reported fiscal second quarter earnings that exceeded analyst expectations and issued forward guidance above Wall Street estimates, reflecting continued demand for AI-focused infrastructure hardware.

The San Jose, California–based company reported non-GAAP diluted EPS of $0.69 for fiscal Q2 ended December 31, 2025, surpassing the $0.49 Wall Street consensus. Net income totaled $401 million, compared with $321 million in the year-ago period.

Eli Lilly and Co (NYSE:LLY) shares surged 9.5% in Wednesday morning trading after the drugmaker posted fourth-quarter results that topped Wall Street expectations and issued a robust forecast for 2026, fueled by soaring demand for its weight‑loss treatments.

The company reported revenue of $19.29 billion for the fourth quarter, up 43% from a year earlier and well above analysts’ estimate of $18.01 billion. Adjusted earnings per share climbed 42% to $7.54, beating the Street’s forecast of $6.99.

Shares in Atalaya Mining Copper (LSE:ATYM, TSX:AYM) fell 8% to 943p after Trafigura sold 14 million shares in the copper producer through a secondary placing, raising approximately £132 million.

The placing was priced at 945p per share and conducted via JP Morgan SE, acting as sole global coordinator and bookrunner. Atalaya Mining did not receive any proceeds from the transaction.
